UCF football player on American Idol

This isn't exactly relevant to current college football news, but just enough to talk about it. Michael Lynche a former University of Central Florida football player from 2001-2002 was a very positive attribution to the team. However he had to stop playing and take care of his mother who was ill at the time after the 2002 season. The reason I wanted to talk about this is because Michael Lynche has made it to the top 24 singers in American Idol, the fact that an ex football player is good enough for American Idol is something special in itself. When you think of big bulky football players, you don't think that they would have much of a voice. Michael Lynche has clearly broken that barrier by making it this far in American Idol which is something worth talking about. American Idol is one of the most talked about subjects on Twitter so i would find it ironic that both college football and American Idol has found themselves talked about in the same sentence.

  1. It's crazy...next thing you know, college football players are going to be graduating early to spend a year at Oxford to try and become doctors or something
